Who is behind VoteBuddy?
We are a young start-up that was founded in 2017 in Berlin. In the tradition of siocial enterpreneurship our company aims to solve a communal problem and helps bring social change.
How is VoteBuddy financed?
VoteBuddy is mainly financed through advertisement on our platform as well as earnings from our online shop. Support us with your purchase!
Is vote exchange legal?
Under German law vote exchange is illegal. This is why our company is based in New York City and our website is hosted on US servers.
How do you match my Buddy?
After you have signed up we will match you with your potential Buddy. Depending on server capacity and availability of Buddies in your area this can take several days. Then you will receive a list of potential candidates for your vote exchange. If you accept each other, contact information will be shared.
How should we get to know each other?
We recommend a first meeting via video chat. If you are unsure, let the other person show you identification. If you like each other, arrange a meeting in a public space like a café. Bring a friend.
How does the vote exchange work?
If you are the person entitled to vote, apply for postal vote directly after you have found your Buddy. The signed documents will be handed over at the meeting. The other person can now make the vote. Post the filled in documents together.
